In Civil 3D, Pay Items are used for cost estimation and quantity takeoffs in construction projects. Here’s how to assign Pay Items to individual components:
🎯 Step 1: Open the Pay Item Manager
Go to the Toolspace panel.
Click the Quantity Takeoff tab.
Select Pay Item Manager.

Select the Object
Click on the surface, alignment, corridor, pipe, or structure you want to assign a pay item to.
Right-click > Properties.
Go to the "Pay Items" tab.
Click Add Pay Item.
