This is a cover version of Steely Dan's hit song "Rikki Don't Lose That Number". There are several musical quotes taken from various Steely Dan songs that are built into this arrangement. This homage was created in 1995 but was never officially released on CD.
Meryl Mathews had the good fortune to personally give a copy to Walter Becker backstage at a sound check at Town Hall, NYC, in 1996. Whether he or Fagen actually listened to it is anybody's guess.
