"Because I said I would" is a social movement and non-profit organization dedicated to the memory of Alex's father who died of small-cell lung cancer on September 4th, 2012. On December 31st, 2012, Alex Sheen, the founder of "because I said I would," hosted The Promise Wall Event at five different venues across the city of Cleveland, Ohio. The Promise Wall is the opportunity for people to share their New Year's resolutions and encourage others to keep with their commitments and reach their goals.
