Exit polls suggest Lithuanians have chosen the centre-right government of Prime Minister Andrius Kubilius in favour of a left-wing opposition coalition that promises to soften austerity measures.
The former Soviet state was hit hard by the economic crisis and slashed spending in response. It is now on its way back to economic health, but voters are clearly fed up with austerity.
