Rescuers on Tuesday evacuated a 2-week-old baby girl alive from the rubble of an apartment building that collapsed after a powerful earthquake hit eastern Turkey. Television footage showed rescuers clapping as the baby, Azra Karaduman, was removed from the wreckage in Ercis, 47 hours after the 7.2-magnitude quake. A rescue worker cradled the naked baby, who was then wrapped in a blanket and handed over to a medic. Rescuers in Ercis and another city, Van, in eastern Turkey are struggling to pull out survivors from the quake. Officials say the death toll is now 366.
