I took a session for the Management Teachers of Regional Management College, Malappuram. It was on Effective Pedagogy, in the context of management education. We emphasised the importance of content building, improving communication skills, improving awareness on socially relevant and technically important topics. Reading, writing, listening, speaking, observing and exploring was explained as effective content building techniques. We practiced conscientious reading, active listening, purposeful speaking, keen observation, and skillful exploration during the session. Arithmeditation to improve the processing speed of brain was practiced. Rhythm building to add zeal and zest to every day teaching was discussed. Many memory development techniques to improve the pedagogical skills were also demonstrated.
