Kenneth Branagh, aka that Shakespeare bloke, and Chris Hemsworth, until now best known as Captain Kirk's da, may not have been the likeliest of pairings when the world was fantasy-casting Thor. But as it turns out, the director and actor were spot-on choices to bring Marvel's oddest superhero to the screen. After all, an alien / deity who talks in rhyming couplets was never going to be as easy as sell as, say, Spider-Man.
