Near field communication (NFC) allows you to read data from any NFC enabled source, to retrieve the information in the NFC embedded chip. This has largely been promoted as a way to simplify transactions, but Touchanote provides an interesting use case. Touchanote, the winner of the Evernote Developer Competition, allows you to retrieve a note from Evernote using the NFC capabilities of your phone.
