Right before Christmas the Central Bureau of Statistics published data showing that The 153,200 Christians living in Israel make up 2% of the country's population. According to the data, a little more than 80% of Israel's Christians are Arab, settled mostly in the city of Natzeret. Most of them arrived from the soviet republics during the 1990's massive aliyah. The annual growth rate of the local Christian community stands at 1%, compared with a 1.7% growth rate of the Jewish population and 2.6% growth rate of the country's Muslim community. The data further shows that Christian men get married relatively late, comparing to the average age of Jewish Israeli and Muslim men, though Christian women tend to be the youngest when they tie the knot.
