Prime Minister Ehud Olmert on Tuesday expressed his regret over Monday's IDF strike in the northern Gaza Strip town of Beit Hanoun, in which a mother and her four children were killed.At the same time Olmert said one should take into account that Hamas operates from within the civilian population. The IDF meanwhile have launched an investigation into the incident. While Israeli government ministers declared there would be no talks of a ceasefire until the incessant Kassam rockets on the Negev and Sderot stop, Hamas members met with Egyptian officials to discuss the issue and Palestinian Authority officials said they would continue to push for a truce.04/29/08
