Durga Puja is a grand festival celebrated with great joys all over India, especially in West Bengal, where the festivity reaches its zenith. Durga puja is commonly called Durga Pujo in West Bengal. After the six day festivity, the idol is taken in a procession. Loud chants of “Durga maa ki jai” glorifying the stature of Maa Durga resonates the atmosphere. Amidst the drumbeats and gusto of devotees, idols are immersed in water.
