There is no doubt that Alec Baldwin is a fantastic guest on shows that range from Bill Maher to Howard Stern. And he has strongly held liberal views and follows politics closely. And Baldwin is the most frequent and successful guest host of Saturday Night Live ever. Still….there is a huge difference between being an interesting and provocative guest versus actually hosting a show, conducting interviews, transitioning from story to story and coming up with unique and original insights on a nightly basis. If I were MSNBC honchos and I could talk Baldwin into guest hosting for awhile, would I do it? Absolutely; in a heartbeat. It’s hard to imagine Baldwin doing worse than some ...
