A man who subjected a baby to a "horrific" murder after her crying interrupted him playing on his X-Box, has been jailed for life.
Gary Alcock must serve at least 21 years before being considered for parole.
The 28-year-old punched, slapped and pinched Violet Mullen in the three weeks leading up to her death.
He delivered a fatal blow to the 15-month-old girl's stomach which tore her internal organs.
The child's mother, 22-year-old Claire Flanagan, has been cleared of murder.
She was instead found guilty of causing or allowing the death of Violet by ignoring obvious signs of abuse. She was jailed for five years.
