Around one thousand and three hundred airplanes take off and land at Heathrow’s two runways every day according to BAA. The runways are operating at nearly 99% capacity, a percentage the government would like to decrease with the addition of a third runway. But the project has sparked many hostile reactions and protests since the government said it was underway. Reporter Ludovic de Foucaud has more.
