Amazon-backed Anthropic launched Claude Opus 4 and Claude Sonnet 4 on Thursday, calling them its most powerful AI models to date, according to CNBC. The models can analyze thousands of data sources, complete long-running projects, write human-level content, and code entire systems. Former OpenAI researchers launched Anthropic in March 2023, and it has rapidly become a key player in the AI arms race amid a market projected to exceed $1 trillion in a decade. The company claims Claude Opus 4 is the world's best coding model, capable of autonomously working for up to seven hours.
