Narayanpur (Chhattisgarh), May 20, 2025 (ANI): Development work underway in Narayanpur’s Abujhmad area of Chhattisgarh on May 20. This area is once known for its dense forests, high mountains, inaccessible roads and Naxal terror. Additionally, efforts are underway to expedite the implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission to provide clean drinking water to the region at the earliest. “Nelangur camp was established about a month ago. In the last 8 months, we have constructed all-weather roads, increasing its radius from 20 km to 65 km, which is 3.5 times. 5 new Panchayats have gained access due to these roads. Some inaccessible locations can also be reached through these roads. There was a belief that Abujhmad is safe for Naxalites. That belief has also changed now...The administration has penetrated so deeply into the areas of Naxalites that the senior-most Naxalites have also surrendered. They are seeing the development schemes of the government and returning to the mainstream. A National Highway is being constructed and by next year, roads will reach Nelangur, Gadchiroli and Mumbai....,” said Prabhat Kumar. “...After the establishment of police camps, we got to know that new roads are being built here which will reach Nagpur and Mumbai. We want bus services in our village...After the police camps came here, we got access to TVs. We want a mobile network and proper electricity in our village too...,” said Villager.
