To count and search for text in Excel, use the COUNTIF function. This function allows you to search for a specific value or pattern in a range of cells and count the number of cells that match the criteria. To highlight the cells that match the search criteria, use the "Conditional Formatting" option in the "Home" tab of the ribbon and choose the formatting options for the highlighted cells. To count the number of highlighted cells, use the COUNTIF formula again with the same search criteria.
