President Lai Ching-te says Taiwan remains committed to increasing its defense spending beyond 3%. Lai made the remarks during a meeting with Admiral John Aquilino, a former U.S. Indo-Pacific command chief, who was part of a delegation from the U.S. think tank The National Bureau of Asian Research.
