According to The Wall Street Journal, Huawei is set to test its most powerful AI processor, aiming to compete with Nvidia’s high-end chips. Huawei has approached Chinese tech firms to assess the new chip’s performance, with the first samples expected by late May. The Chinese tech giant is positioned to benefit as U.S. restrictions tighten on Nvidia’s chip sales to China. Huawei is projected to ship over 800,000 new chips this year, with demand growing among state-owned enterprises and private AI developers like ByteDance.
