According to Yahoo Finance, Nvidia and AMD face major revenue hits after new U.S. export restrictions blocked shipments of their AI chips to China. JPMorgan analysts said U.S. authorities recently informed Nvidia and AMD that exports of their chips to China now require new licenses. Nvidia expects a more than $5 billion charge from the halt, while AMD anticipates an $800 million hit. JPMorgan analysts expect the inventory charges tied to U.S. export restrictions to significantly reduce projected data center revenue for both chipmakers.
