He also said that this is not about improving institutions, but infiltrating, controlling and closing them. “This is not reform, it is retaliation in the guise of reform. It is retaliation meticulously, scripted, strategically timed and constitutionally questionable. The Waqf Act is not an exercise in efficiency, as it presents itself to be, but an exercise in erasure. Behind the bland governance lies the bold ambition of control...This is not about improving institutions, but infiltrating, controlling and closing them,” said Abhishek Singhvi.
