Chennai, April 05, 2025(ANI): | On Kachchatheevu Island, BJP spokesperson CR Kesavan exposed DMK government over its hypocritical stance. He stated, "As far as the DMK is concerned the people of Tamil Nadu are well aware of the deplorable politics of opportunism of the DMK and the hypocritical drama of the DMK.He asked about whether DMK passed any assembly resolution regarding taking back Kachchatheevu Island when it was in power between 2006 and 2011?He mentioned that DMK was also part of the central government from 2004 to 2013 and accused them of not taking any to take back Kachchatheevu Island.He further highlighted Former PM Pandit Nehru’s and former PM Indira Gandhi’s stand on the island in which they referred it to be a mere waste piece of land.He added, “ Their hypocrisy has been completely exposed before the people of Tamil Nadu..."He asked Congress and DMK government to apologise before the people of Tamil Nadu for betraying them.
