Primarily fruits (figs are their favorite)
Also eat leaves, bark, insects, bird eggs
Sometimes even soil and minerals for digestion

Mostly water from tree holes or leaves
Rarely seen drinking from streams — get hydration from juicy fruits

No fixed season, but mostly during high fruit periods
Males develop cheek pads (“flanges”) when dominant — attracts females

One baby per birth
Interbirth interval: Every 7–9 years (longest of any mammal!)
