A handful of celeb favorites gathered in New York City to celebrate the opening night of Good Night, and Good Luc k, the new Broadway play led by megastar George Clooney. The play is based on the 2005 film of the same name, which Clooney wrote, directed, and starred in himself. However, this time the 63-year-old actor is taking on a new role, playing American broadcast journalist Edward R. Murrow. Stars from both the screen and stage made appearances on the red carpet before the show, including Jennifer Lopez, Uma Thurman, Pierce Brosnan, Jim Parsons, Kaia Gerber, Cindy Crawford, Lucas Bravo, Kylie Minogue, Julianna Margulies, Gayle King, Richard Kind, and more. Denzel Washington, also currently on Broadway, in Othello alongside Jake Gyllenhaal, made a drive-by appearance before Clooney's big debut. The actor spotted in a car, stopped in front of the red-carpet premiere and rolled down the window to talk to spectators and relay to his fellow thespian, 'Break a leg.' Good Night, and Good Luck is now playing at the Winter Garden Theatre through June 8, 2025.
