CVisayas police reaffirm commitment to stay impartial during May midterm polls
Police Regional Office Central Visayas (PRO 7) spokesman, Colonel Arvie Aserre Paraon-Bueno, reiterates the police force’s firm commitment to remaining apolitical and impartial during the May 2025 midterm elections. She said police personnel were required to declare any family ties to candidates, ensuring they would be reassigned to prevent any conflict of interest. Paraon-Bueno emphasized that this policy was part of PRO 7’s broader efforts to maintain the credibility and fairness of the electoral process. She said the reassigned officers would be allowed to return to their original posts after the elections.
