According to CNBC, Adaptive Security raised $43 million in a March funding round co-led by OpenAI and Andreessen Horowitz. This marks OpenAI’s first investment in a cybersecurity firm. The company simulates AI-powered phishing and deepfake attacks. CEO Brian Long warned that AI-driven social engineering is one of today’s most urgent cybersecurity risks. The funds will expand Adaptive’s AI-driven defense capabilities.
