Shocking video footage shows violent thugs armed with foot-long machetes fighting on a Tube station platform in front of terrified commuters. The incident, which has gone viral on social media, took place on the platform at Queensbury station in North West London on Monday evening. Video footage, taken by a commuter sitting on the tube, appears to show two teenagers lunging towards each other while they shout threats. Wearing heavy coats and tracksuit bottoms, they appear to be brandishing large machetes which they wave in each other’s faces. People can be heard shouting “please stop” and the clip ends with the group walking out of frame. Officers from British Transport Police attended the scene and a 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of possessing a knife. Police said enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
