Official Trailer for Animated Movie 'Sneaks' Featuring Talking Shoes
Briarcliff Entertainment today unlaced the official trailer and poster for Sneaks, the new CG animated feature written and directed by Rob Edwards (writer of Disney’s The Princess and the Frog and Treasure Planet) and co-directed by animation veteran Chris Jenkins (10 Lives, Duck Duck Goose). The pic arrives in theaters nationwide on April 18.

Synopsis: Sneaks follows the adventures of Ty, a misguided designer sneaker who doesn’t know life outside the comforts of his velvet-lined shoe box. After his sister is stolen by a shady collector, Ty must venture into N.Y.C. to find and rescue her. In his adventure, Ty meets a rag-tag group of footwear friends from all walks of life who help him find the courage to step outside of his shoe box and find his “sole-mate.”
The voice cast is led by Anthony Mackie (Captain America: Brave New World) as Ty, Martin Lawrence (Bad Boys: Ride or Die), Swae Lee, Chloe Bailey (Grown-ish), Macy Gray, Ella Mai, Mustard, Roddy Rich, Quavo, Young Miko, Amirah Hall, Kiana Ledé, Bobbito Garcia, Sam Jay, Jonathan Kite, Amari McCoy, Donovan Louise Bazemore, Sky Brown, Rayssa Leal, Rico Rodriguez, Will McCormack, Michael Govier, Andrew Hawkins and Raoul the Dog, with Keith David, Chris Paul and Oscar nominee Laurence Fishburne as The Collector.

What happens in the Sneaks trailer?

Along with Mackie and Lawrence, the voice cast of Sneaks includes Swae Lee, Chloe Bailey, Macy Gray, Roddy Rich, Ella Mai, Quavo, Young Miko, Keith David, Chris Paul, and Laurence Fishburne.
The film is written and directed by Rob Edwards, who also worked on the screenplay for Captain America: Brave New World. Additionally, Edwards was a writer on 2002’s Treasure Planet and 2009’s The Princess and the Frog.
Sneaks will be Edwards’ feature film directorial debut. It was originally going to be directed by Pixar veteran Teddy Newton; however, Newton dropped out of the project, and Edwards replaced him in June 2021.
Fishburne, Len Hartman, Gil Cloyd, and Helen Sugland produce the film, while Robyn Klein, Jeremy Ross, and Meko Yohannes serve as executive producers. The movie features brand-new music from Grammy winner Mustard.
Sneaks will be released in United States theaters on April 18, 2025, from Briarcli
