The Customs Department seized various brands of alcoholic beverages with unpaid duties exceeding RM260,000 near an oil palm estate in Bukit Mertajam, Penang.
At a press conference on March 12, Penang Customs director Rohaizad Ali also revealed that a Jan 25 raid on an abandoned house in Nibong Tebal uncovered 555,600 smuggled cigarettes of various brands, valued at RM167,030, with unpaid duties totaling RM383,599.
