Govt reports vendors' compliance with suggested retail prices for pork
Assistant Secretary Constante Palabrica, in an interview on the sidelines of a market inspection with the Department of Trade and Industry, reports compliance by some public markets in Metro Manila with the newly imposed maximum suggested retail price (MSRP) for pork — P380/kg. for liempo (pork belly); P350/kg. for kasim (pork ham) and pigue; and P300/kg. for sabit-ulo. He said the DA would give retailers time to adjust their prices near or even lower than the pork MSRP.
