World's thinnest smartphone unveiled at MWC
Chinese technology company TECNO unveiled a new concept smartphone at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona: the SPARK Slim, billed as the world's thinnest smartphone at just 5.75mm thick.
The design signifies a potential shift in the industry towards more compact, yet powerful devices. The SPARK Slim, however, is just a concept design at present.
In his presentation, Oliver Mas, TECNO's Global Product Launch Officer, highlighted the CAMON 40 Premier 5G's exceptional design, "very slim with 7.7mm for only 193 grams."
Mas emphasized the phone's competitive advantage, saying it is "the more lightweight and compact option to those seeking full power from portable devices," compared to heavier rivals like iPhone 16 Pro Max and Galaxy S25 Ultra.
Mas also introduced the new CAMON 40 series in four versions, all equipped with "cutting-edge AI imaging technology and practical AI features delivering enhanced experience in imaging, creativity and efficiency."
