Officials are investigating the cause of a large wind turbine's collapse on a private farm near Kildare, Oklahoma, on Tuesday (25 February).
The incident occurred on a calm day, with no wind reported, yet residents up to two miles away reported hearing a loud boom and feeling windows shake.
Kildare Fire Chief Travis D. Harris confirmed no one was injured and secured the area, limiting access to wind farm personnel.
Social media comments from locals, including turbine technicians like Pete Schoenherr, expressed disbelief over the failure, with others describing the impact on their homes.
