Putrajaya did not introduce the Urban Redevelopment Act (URA) in haste, as it has been an ongoing effort by the previous administrations since 2012, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Speaking during Prime Minister’s Question Time (PMQT) in Parliament on Tuesday (Feb 2025), Anwar stated that the proposed legislation aims to facilitate the redevelopment of dilapidated or abandoned projects.
