Members of Parliament are calling on the government to intervene and delay the execution of Malaysian national Pannir Selvam, scheduled for Thursday (Feb 20) in Singapore.
At a press conference on Monday, Ramkarpal Singh (PH-Bukit Gelugor) urged the Malaysian government to seek a stay of execution and facilitate Pannir’s return to Malaysia for further investigation.
Ramkarpal described Pannir as a “victim of circumstances”, arguing that, as a drug mule, he should not face the death penalty.
