German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that a man who drove a car into a crowd of people in Munich cannot hope for leniency and must leave the country.
"This perpetrator cannot hope for any leniency. He must be punished, and he must leave the country," said Scholz after some 28 people were injured when a 24-year-old Afghan asylum seeker drove a car into a crowd.
