The Thaipusam festival in Penang has begun with the golden chariot procession, attracting thousands of devotees and spectators.
From as early as 4am on Monday (Feb 10), thousands of devotees converged at Arulmigu Sri Maha Mariamman Temple on Queen Street to offer their prayers and accompany the chariot procession.
