Any proposal, including hiring Rohingya refugees to address labor shortages in the food and beverage industry, must align with the country's laws and policies, says Steven Sim.
Responding on Sunday (Feb 9) to the Malaysian Muslim Restaurant Owners Association (Presma)'s statement that its members were open to employing Rohingya workers, Sim emphasised that while all parties, including Presma, are free to provide feedback, they must adhere to existing legal and policy frameworks.
