Donald Trump and co-defendants in his New York civil fraud case now owe more than $500 million after accruing over $114,000 in daily interest on a February 2024 judgment for "ill-gotten gains." Trump’s share of the debt exceeds $490 million. The case concerns accusations of manipulating asset valuations for favorable financial terms. It is under appeal, with a decision expected early this year. In separate cases, Trump also owes $88 million to E. Jean Carroll for sexual abuse and defamation liabilities, which he is appealing.
