Taiwan President Lai Ching-te addressed the media upon returning from a diplomatic visit to Pacific allies. He vowed to maintain peace and stability in the region and continue to uphold democracy. Lai's trip to the Pacific included stopovers in Hawaii and the U.S. territory of Guam, which has angered China.
