The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has initiated an investigation into over 1 million Honda and Acura vehicles. The agency has received numerous complaints of engine failure due to faulty connecting rod bearings in certain vehicles. Honda recalled nearly a quarter million vehicles in 2023 for similar issues. This investigation now includes vehicles not covered by the prior recall. Honda has stated it will cooperate with NHTSA's investigation.
