Storm trough, ‘habagat’ to bring rains across parts of the Philippines

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported on Thursday, September 12, that the trough of Severe Tropical Storm Bebinca will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain to the eastern sections of Luzon and Visayas. At the same time, the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) will affect Mindanao, as well as the rest of Southern Luzon and Visayas.

Severe Tropical Storm Bebinca, which is outside of the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), is 1,975 kilometers east of Central Luzon packing maximum sustained winds of 95 kilometers per hour, gustiness of up to 11 kph and moving northward at the speed of 20 kph.
