Tragedy, greed, and evil are a recurring theme in humanity’s history. Are we doomed to repeat this and forever keep this bitter rhyme of history going? Certainly, if we never bother to learn about history; or rather if we never bother to learn – instead waiting for somebody else to just do the teaching. Sure, that would be the easy and lazy way. But if we want this sad state of affairs to change, we must act as if we are the last light of hope remaining in the world of abyss. The abyss, defined as infinity darkness, is an exaggerated and fragile thing, because all it takes is a little light and by definition the abyss is eradicated.
This video is intended to spark inspiration to all peoples in all corners of the world, to wake up, to reflect, and to look for the truths themselves rather than always remaining in wait for others to do the hard work. It should bring to light things you have never even heard about before, or at least it should give you a new perspective on things. The oral style of this presentation, except for the modern addition of video and background music, is called “Noha” or an elegy about the martyrdom of Hussain ibn Ali (AS) and his family and companions in the Battle of Karbala. Every verse of this Noha reveals historical truths that are mirrored today by contemporary events, sharing the additional commonality of being under attempted media suppression and erasure from common knowledge by the social and political powers that be.
