At least a dozen people dead in landslide in southern Philippines
A landslide triggered by heavy rain buried a house where Christian prayers were being held in the southern Philippines, killing at least a dozen people, including five children. Two people were injured, and one villager is still missing following the landslide in a remote mountain village in Monkayo, Davao de Oro. Three more bodies were discovered on Friday, Jan. 19, 2024 at the resumption of the search that was halted temporarily due to the risk of another landslide.
