Ukrainian war veteran embraces bionic limb advancements
Following the loss of his right arm in combat in eastern Ukraine, former surgeon Alexis Cholas now works as a rehab specialist with a new bionic arm, highlighting the scarcity of such advanced prosthetics as the conflict has led to an estimated 20,000 amputations since February 2022, with only a few recipients gaining access to these sophisticated devices.
