Deadly 5.6-magnitude quake strikes Nepal
At least 157 dead and over 100 injured in a 5.6-magnitude earthquake that hit a remote area in west Nepal on Nov. 3, 2023. Villagers spent the night searching for survivors under the rubble of destroyed houses. Kamal Oli recounts being buried with his brother, losing consciousness while his brother cried for help. Nepal's location along a major fault line heightens its earthquake risk.
