The Imam was the only source of true Islam, and his piety and divine character was observed by all those who interacted with him. The Imam had multiple elevated titles, such as Javad, which means “generous”, and Taqi, which means “pious”. There are also some prayers and supplications narrated from the Imam. Among them is a special prayer recommended to be recited on the first day of the lunar month for guaranteeing health during the upcoming month. Also, there is a supplication from the Imam specific for the month of Ramazan. Another well-known supplication narrated from the Imam is known as “Herz-e-Javad”, which is recommended to be carried as an amulet, for protection.
