Flamingos Are So Much More Similar To Humans Than We Previously Thought

Researchers studied flamingos, who have pretty long lives, at the WWT Slimbridge Wetland Center in England over five years and found they form a variety of social bonds, like "married" couples, same-sex friendships, and cliques.
