Up to 35 Indigenous advisory bodies will be established across Australia, with the bodies set to feed into a national voice empowered to advise federal parliament. The local and regional advisory bodies designed and led by Indigenous communities would be up and running from July 2022 under the proposal now accepted by the Morrison government.
