Expert weighs in on structural damage at Miami building collapse
Although the investigation into the collapse of a 12-story building in Miami is expected to be lengthy, a lack of reinforcement in the building construction may be to blame, according to Stephen Leatherman, a Florida International University professor who specializes in beaches. Four more bodies were discovered overnight in the rubble of the collapsed apartment building, as the search for more than 140 people unaccounted for entered its seventh day.
