長野県の南端、岐阜県との県境に位置する、南信州最大規模の温泉郷・昼神温泉郷。昼神の湯が湧く阿智村は、“花桃”の名所。「日本一の桃源郷」との呼び声も高く、例年4月上旬～5月中旬になると、麓の方から少しずつ開花します。春にはおよそ5000本の赤や白、ピンクの花桃が咲き乱れる花桃の里として村を華やかに彩り、四季折々の豊かな自然に恵まれた清閑な湯の里は、まさに日本の原風景。
